This book aims to tell adventures, my adventures. These are not memoirs, nor even extraordinary stories created from scratch, but only real-life anecdotes.
I found the project interesting, since the year 2020 represented my 50th year of professional life, which began in 1970.
So why 53?
It’s a broad scope. Events of the same nature marked the period 1967-2020 as those experienced today, notably AIDS, sociocultural events such as May 1968 or the Yellow Vests since 2018, and even the questioning of the “old white man”!
Moreover, a change took place during this period. The development of digital technology transformed both communication and behaviour . I started with the Minitel and three television channels, and now we have continuous, live news, along with the rest of the world!
Even more, media like Netflix, among others, bring cinema into your home.
So why three more years? Simply because my professional life was obviously largely prepared in the previous three years. So I’m starting at 23. Not that I’ve forgotten my first story!
These are natural anecdotes; it’s all the easier since I don’t think literary creation is my cup of tea.
This half-century period gave me the opportunity to experience both happy, curious, and sometimes sad moments, which I felt would be interesting to recount.
At the same time, two important points explain this desire to write a 16th book.
First, the natural stories are a nod. They mark episodes in my life, sometimes from a time not so long ago, and sometimes illustrate simple moments that are a subliminal aspiration for change and which is characterized by being positive. Even so, this is not well received in the current climate.
Through my professional adventures, my values emerge, which provide my framework for interpreting life.
