SAMPARK was founded in 1998 | A literary-academic press, we are based in Kolkata, India | We publish fiction and poetry; biographies, academic works in the social sciences, travelogues, narrative non-fiction; and children’s books | Currently, each year we publish around twenty-five titles and the books are published in English, in Bengali and in Hindi | The press publishes translations from Indian and world languages | From French, Norwegian, German, Chinese, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Turkish, Slovenian, Serbian, Irish, Welsh, Italian, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and English | SAMPARK has a growing list of Indian authors as well | Participation in Frankfurt and other international book fairs deepens our links and exchanges with authors, publishers and translators from around the world.
