'Unuttered Eloquence' is a 21st century translation of Bengali essays penned more than a hundred years ago by a man who is hailed as the father of modern science in India. He is none other than Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose. The original title Abyakta, first published in 1921 (Bangabdo 1328), is a collection of twenty essays written by Bose at various stages of his life. The essays are a testimony of the philosophical and poetic bend of mind of the scientist. Through the magic of his words he awakens awe for the mysteries of nature in his reader. The magic is not lost even after a hundred years. Unuttered Eloquence' is a humble attempt to bring this magic to the global reader.
